So here you are, you've got GarageBand installed on your Mac, you love messing around with it. But now what do you do with it?
Well, you make songs of course!
But how?
There's the problem.
Unless you've been taught all the secrets of songwriting it can be really frustrating trying to make songs when you've got all these cool loops and samples to choose from. Or maybe you already know how to play an instrument like a guitar or piano, but you have no idea how to write a song.
Our online tutorial teaches you how to make fun-little-corny-songs in GarageBand. You will get to watch us every step of the way as we make a song right before your eyes. We approach songwriting from three different perspectives:
Musicians who are in a band.
Musicians who play solo.
Non-Musicians who cannot play an instrument.
We show you how each of these types of people can make fun songs in GarageBand. So even if you have never played an instrument or sang a note, we'll show you how to make a song.
The online tutorial is made to be viewed on your Mac, it has over an hour and a half of QuickTime movies that are broken down into smaller chapter movies that you play while you use GarageBand, you can rewind and replay a certain part over and over again until you get it just right. There is no rush, you learn at your own pace. The video is shot right in my own home studio and edited with iMovie.
